Fall 2018 Fashion Trends
With summer fading away, it’s about time you restocked your wardrobe for fall. The outfits are already out and in the stores. The catwalks hinted on what to expect, and some fashion trends are making massive comebacks. Everything for this fall looks either elegantly loud or gloss, with animal print and shiny fabrics dominating all the way. Here are the fashion trends to look out for in the 2018 fall.
1. It’s Animal Print All Over
Runways were awash with animal prints, from Tom Ford, Balenciaga, to Victoria Beckham. And, wasn’t it gorgeous? That should tell you how big this fashion of the past years is set to become.
The prints arriving at the stores are a lot better than those of yesteryears, though. They’re a mix of the neutral and the wildly colorful. It will undoubtedly shake the industry. The leopard and zebra print outfits appear to have taken it all. But there’s also snake and cheetah, so expect something to satisfy your taste.
2. Metallics
The 2018 fall will witness a hit with glossy fabrics. The metallics are making a sneaky comeback. Plastic designs from the summer featured in some runways, with leather, latex and vinyl enjoying a huge focus. Fendi outfits were mainly rainproof gloss, and Chanel decided to give more attention to glossy fabrics. Looks like the shiny wear is going to remain relevant all through.
3. The Elegant Boot
Expect boots to be popular footwear this fall of 2018. Many kinds featured in the runways, from cowboy, animal-print, to knee-high boots. But, if there’s one shoe that’s sure to dominate the fashion arena this fall, it’s undoubtedly the slouchy boot. Victoria Beckham had it grace the runways, and it is set to come back with force.
4. Modest Outfits
Many designers had their collections feature female modesty. Balenciaga came with a layered collection of dresses while Erdem focused on both dresses and skirts. Tailored women outfits appeared to be the in thing. They had the hem lowered and their necklines raised. The outfits will take the women fashion industry by storm come September.
5. Tweed
Tweed is back with a bang. Louis Vuitton and Mark Jacobs showcased tweed jackets and skirts with matching blouses. Expect this fashion trend to hit the market this fall, with big size jackets to wade off cold. Also on the trends of this fall are tweed skirts; the stores are going to stock lots of them.
6. Balaclavas
Not forgotten were the balaclavas. The designers decided to keep you warm this cool season. Most runways had models clad in various types of headgear, but the one that stood out was the balaclava. Notable designs came from Gucci, Calvin klein, and Preen.
7. Leather
Leather also dominated the runways, with jackets, skirts, pants, and coats featuring all through. New colors came into focus apart from the usual black. Design, too, improved, shifting from the traditional style. Saint Laurent came up with a collection of astounding designs of leather outfits while Loewe showcased their novelty with butterscotch colors.
